Booking Terms:

We want every Salt & Crumb experience to go smoothly for you and your guests. Here's everything you need to know about how we work together.

Booking & Payment Terms

  • Individual Cups, Boxes, and Custom Orders: We kindly ask for at least 72 hours notice with full payment upon booking confirmation. For orders larger than 100 guests, we recommend 2 weeks notice.

  • Charcuterie Cart Services and Workshop: We ask for 2–4 weeks notice for cart services or orders larger than 100 guests.

  • Deposit: A 50% deposit is required to secure your event date. We will hold your date for up to 7 days before releasing it.

  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your event.

  • Accepted payment methods: credit card, Zelle, Venmo, ACH transfer, and check. Corporate invoicing available upon request.

  • Late payment of the remaining balance may result in cancellation without refund of the deposit.

  • Events booked within 7 days of the event date require payment in full at booking.

  • Gratuity is not included in service pricing and is always appreciated but never required.

Cancellation Policy

  • Individual Cups and Boxes: Orders canceled with less than 72 hours' notice may be subject to a 10% administrative fee.

    Charcuterie Cart Services and Workshops:

    • 7+ days notice → full refund minus a 10% administrative fee

    • 3–7 days notice → 50% refund

    • Under 3 days notice → non-refundable, but eligible for credit toward a future booking.

    • rRescheduling requests made more than 7 days before the event will be accommodated based on availability at no additional charge.

    All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to hello@saltandcrumb.com

Guest Count & Changes

  • Final guest count must be confirmed 7 days prior to the event.

  • Increases to guest count are subject to availability and additional charges.

Event Duration & Overtime

  • Standard service duration is

    • Charcuterie Cart: 2 or 4 hours

    • Workshop: 2 hours

  • Additional hours may be requested for a fee.

  • While we work to be reasonable, service may be adjusted due to delays caused by the client or venue.

Setup & Access

  • Client agrees to provide reasonable access for setup at the agreed start time. Typical catering cart set up time is 45 minutes, and workshop is dependent on number of attendees.

  • Delays in access may reduce service time and do not warrant a refund.

  • Salt & Crumb is not responsible for venue restrictions not disclosed in advance.

Menu Substitutions & Dietary Restrictions

  • Substitutions may occur due to seasonal availability.

  • All dietary restrictions or allergy requests must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance.

  • While we accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice, Salt & Crumb cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free environment. Clients with severe allergies should consult with us directly before booking.

Food Safety & Liability

  • All food is prepared in a licensed commercial kitchen.

  • All food is prepared following applicable food safety standards.

  • Salt & Crumb is not responsible for food consumed after service has concluded.

  • Client assumes responsibility for any food consumed beyond the service window.

  • Charcuterie displayed at room temperature should be eaten within a 2 hour time frame and disposed of or refrigerated after 2 hours.

  • Charcuterie should never be displayed in direct sunlight or near a heat source.

  • Participants in workshops assume responsibility for their own safety during hands-on activities. Salt & Crumb provides instruction and supervision but is not liable for minor injuries resulting from participant negligence.

Travel & Delivery

  • Delivery fees may apply for locations outside of the standard service area, outside a 15-mile radius of San Jose

  • Client is responsible for providing accessible parking and loading zones.

Liability for Damage

  • Salt & Crumb is not liable for damage to the venue except in cases of gross negligence.

  • The client assumes responsibility for any damage to Salt & Crumb equipment, props, or displays caused by event guests.

Photography & Media Use

  • Salt & Crumb may photograph or video the setup for marketing purposes unless the client requests otherwise.

Force Majeure

Salt & Crumb shall not be held liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, or emergencies. Reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule or provide a partial refund at Salt & Crumb’s discretion.

The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Salt & Crumb, its owners and staff, from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the event, except in cases of gross negligence by Salt & Crumb.

By submitting a booking deposit, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these booking terms in full.
